Ed Woodward’s reluctance might stall Anthony Martial’s sale.

Contrary to popular believe , Anthony Martial might not be subject of a move away from Manchester United this transfer window and the reason is because vice-chairman Ed Woodward won’t want to sell one of his own signings.
Coach of the side, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that he will like to send the Frenchman packing as the player didn’t perform up to standard last season however according to journalist Duncan Castles, the manager’s intention might not come to fruition because of Woodward’s interest.
Another winger is expected to be unveiled at the Old Trafford next week when FIFA’s international transfer window officially opens with Swansea youngster Daniel James, already passing a medical at the club.

As an official announcement is expected for the Welshman, it’s now however unclear who amongst the current crop of wingers will be replaced by James and according to Castles because of Woodward’s influence, Martial is unlikely to leave.
“Although, we’ve seen it reported elsewhere that at least one of the Glazers does not want Martial to be sold and I would suspect Ed Woodward would be in the same camp as he has always had a great reluctance at selling any of his own signings.”
