Spanish La Liga club Valencia are in talks to sign Manchester United outcast Matteo Darmian during this summer’s transfer window.
This is according to the publication from the stables of popular English news outlet Daily Mail which claimed that the Spaniards are the first club to make an offer for Italian international right-back Matteo Darmian.
The 29-year-old has been attracting the interest of several clubs in Italy from AS Roma to Napoli to Juventus to Inter Milan but none of the Italian clubs have made a bid for him.
Valencia are ready to pay as much as £8m for Matteo Darmian who’s seen as a potential replacement for compatriot Christian Piccini.
Matteo Darmian became a Manchester United player in the summer of 2015 when he joined the Old Trafford outfit from Italian Serie A club, Torino.
The Italian fullback signed for the Red Devils while Dutch tactician Louis Van Gaal (LVG) was the Manchester United manager.
The Red Devils were said to have paid £14.4m for his transfer four years ago.
Matteo Darmian has been a bit-part player for Manchester United in recent seasons.
He made just seven appearances for Manchester United in all competitions during the just concluded campaign.
Darmian has just one year left on his contract with Manchester United.
