Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette was full of praise for strike partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the Gabonese international star fired the Gunners to the Europa League final.
In his post-match thoughts in the company of the hattrick hero, Lacazette was full of admiration for Aubameyang who was partly responsible for the demolition of Valencia in front of their fans in the second leg of their Europa League semifinal tie.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first hattrick since joining Arsenal to give the Gunners a 4-2 win over their Spanish opponents and a 7-3 aggregate victory.
Aubameyang pulled the Gunners level in the 17th minute off an assist from Alexandre Lacazette after the hosts had taken the lead through French international striker Kevin Gameiro.
Lacazette turned goalscorer almost immediately after the halftime interval which ended in a 1-1 draw as he added a second five minutes into the second half to take the tie away from Valencia.
The aforementioned Gameiro scored his brace eight minutes later but Valencia still needed three goals to go through to the final in Baku on May 29.
Aubameyang put the result beyond reach with his second goal of the game and the third strike for Arsenal before he completed his treble with two minutes left to wrap up a 4-2 win for the Gunners.
The Gabonese international has now scored 29 goals this season.
