To further deepen their fear, the former Sampdoria man was seen putting an ice break on his knee.
However, there is good news for the Gunners faithfuls as it was reported that the player is back to full fitness and he’s in contention for a place in the manager’s starting lineup against Newcastle on Saturday.
In one of Unai Emery’s tweet on Wednesday, Torreira was seen on training ground taking orders from the Spanish gaffer.
It remains unseen if the Uruguayan would be given the nod to start ahead of Granit Xhaka, who’s been far from convincing since the start of the campaign.
Many Arsenal fans can’t wait to see the player in the manager’s first XI, this is because he’s one of the best players in the team despite being used from the bench.
After four matches, Torreira is still searching for his full debut as Arsenal player, though, that might change this weekend as there are numerous calls from fans and pundits for his inclusion in the starting lineup.
