North London giants Arsenal will reportedly have to splash a transfer fee of around £20m for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.
This is according to the publication from German newspaper SportBild which claimed that Bayern Munich have slapped a £20m price tag on the 2014 FIFA World Cup winner.
Apart from the Gunners, Premier League rivals Manchester United are also interested in the former Manchester City player.
Ghanaian-born German international Boateng has not had the best of the past year after he was forcefully retired from the national team.

German national team manager Joachim Low announced that the trio of Jerome Boateng, Thomas Mueller and Mats Hummels would no longer be selected for the four-time world champions.
Jerome Boateng also struggled to nail down a regular starting spot in the Bayern Munich team during the just concluded campaign and he has been told by the club’s hierarchy that he can leave the Bavarian giants this summer.
Bayern Munich officials will however not sanction a move for Jerome Boateng until they receive at least £20m for him.
Arsenal and Manchester United were poor defensively during the just concluded season and they are in need of a new quality centre back so as to avoid a repeat next season.
