Manchester United In €90m For Portuguese Star Player

Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly made a big bid for Portuguese teen sensation Joao Felix.

This is according to widespread reports coming out of the media in Portugal which claimed that the Red Devils have made an initial bid of €90m for Joao Felix.

Portuguese forward Joao Felix plays his club football for Portuguese champions Benfica.

The specific report from Portuguese media platform Correio da Manha revealed that Manchester United have made a €90m bid for the young Portuguese attacker plus an additional €30m dependent on add-ons.

It remains to be seen whether the bid from Manchester United will be enough to convince Benfica into selling their most prized asset.

Joao Felix signed a new Benfica contract towards the end of last year and it has a release clause of €120m.

Apart from Manchester United, Premier League rivals like Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in him.

Liverpool had a £61m bid rejected by Benfica towards the end of last year in their quest to sign Joao Felix while Manchester City officials have met with their Benfica counterparts to do a deal for the teen attacker.

Non-English clubs like Paris Saint Germain (PSG), German champions Bayern Munich and Italian Serie A giants Juventus have also been mentioned as potential transfer destination for the 19-year-old.
