Premier League giants Manchester United will have to fend off new competition in rivals Arsenal in their bid to sign Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes.
This is as a result of the report that the Gunners are interested in a deal for the player.
Andre Gomes spent the season on loan at Merseyside giants Everton from Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona with the option to sign a permanent deal at Goodison Park.
The Portuguese midfielder impressed a great deal during his loan spell with Everton and that led to the plethora of interests in him.
According to Spanish media outlet RAC1, Arsenal have joined North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Liverpool, West Ham United and Manchester United.

Manchester United are in the market for a new midfielder and Andre Gomes could be the man for the job.
The Red Devils want a midfield replacement for Ander Herrera who has left the club after the expiration of his contract.
Ander Herrera is expected to join French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on a free transfer this summer.
West Ham United have made a concrete bid of around £18m for Andre Gomes but Barcelona are set to be holding out for between £25m-£35m according to Sky Sports.
The Hammers are the first club to make a bid for him.
