Ivan Rakitic

Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona have concluded plans to sell midfielder Ivan Rakitic this summer according to widespread reports in the media.

Croatian international Rakitic has faced scrutiny over his role at Barcelona this season following the Catalan giants’ disappointing end to the season and he could be sold with clubs like Inter Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United interested in a deal for the former Sevilla player.

According to the specific report from Diario Sport, Barcelona are looking to move €50m-rated Rakitic on this summer as well as eight other first team players at the club.

Rakitic and Barcelona retained the Spanish La Liga title with several games to go but they were unable to record the same feat in the Spanish Copa Del Rey.

Barcelona have won the competition four times in a row and they were massive favourites before they were stunned by Valencia in the final of the Spanish Copa Del Rey via a 2-1 defeat.

In addition, Ivan Rakitic and his Barcelona teammates surrendered a big lead over Liverpool in their Champions League semifinal tie.

The Reds were able to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg via a 4-0 win over Barcelona in their second leg meeting.

Other Barcelona players like Malcom, Samuel Umtiti, Thomas Vermaelen, Philippe Coutinho, Jasper Cillesen, Rafinha Alcantara and Kevin-Prince Boateng are also on their way out of the club.

Spanish La Liga club Barcelona are reportedly making moves to return with another luring offer for the signature of Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin before the end of the summer transfer window.

The future of Hector Bellerin has been up in the air as a number of reports claim he would be shipped out of the club this summer window but it is evident that the North London club are yet to make any decision over his future.

French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain are reported to be keen on the signature of the Spanish international right-back and submitted a bid for the player but it has been rejected by the Gunners.

If Arsenal must sell, Hector Bellerin, it would happen for nothing less than £25 million, and that has informed the latest move by Barcelona on how to land him this summer window.

It is understood that the Catalans want to do a swap deal with a player plus cash for the signature of the Hector Bellerin and are considering to offer the likes of Jean-Clair Todibo, Martin Braithwaite, and Junior Firpo who are believed to be surplus to requirements by Barcelona.

Howbeit, the decision would be made by the Gunners as hector Bellerin is only keen on regular playing time, either at Arsenal or any other club.

Ansu Fati

Man United have not hidden their wish to land Barcelona star Ansu Fati as he is being linked away from the Camp Nou with his future unsettled.

The Red Devils are hoping to have a very busy summer transfer window with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hoping to challenge the likes of Man City and Liverpool for the EPL in the new season.

There are fears that the Red Devils will not have their wish to land Ansu Fati with former Brazilian star Rivaldo urging the Spanish La Liga giants to be patient with the young starlet and not release him to United in a hurry.

Rivaldo, in his interview with Betfair said the youngster impressed in his game for Spain and scored a goal which has given the hint that he can become a regular at Barcelona and that must be considered by the Catalans.

He added that the new manager, Ronald Koeman is likely to give Ansu Fati a chance, adding that he is only 17 and should not be given the pressure to impress, rather he should be given time to breakthrough.

However, pundits have noted that Ansu Fati is not a priority for Man United, especially if they are able to sign up Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

It has been revealed by respected transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano that the Spanish La Liga outfit established contact with Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang some weeks ago for the possibility of a deal this summer transfer window.

With one year left to see out his contract with the Gunners, the Gabon international is being linked away from the club with Arsenal also making efforts to agree on a new deal with him.

The Catalans are one of the few clubs that have registered interest in the former Borussia Dortmund forward and are reported to have spoken with him but were instantly told he will still be at the North London for few more years.

However, it has been reported that the Gunners have already sealed a new deal with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that will make him remain at the club until 2023 while his weekly wage will be increased from the £200,000 he currently earns.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been impressive for the North London club, registering about 20 goals in the last two seasons for the club in the English Premier League.

Lyon forward Memphis Depay has agreed on personal terms with Spanish La Liga outfit Barcelona as he sets his sights on a move to the Nou Camp.

This was confirmed by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano who was also quick to point out that Barcelona and Lyon are yet to agree a fee for the former Manchester United attacker.

Memphis Depay was at Old Trafford for 18 months before he left the club in January 2017 after a loan transfer to Lyon was agreed for the Dutch national team player.

The attacker impressed on loan at Lyon before it was made permanent by the French Ligue 1 club.

New Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman wants to sign Depay having worked with him in the Netherlands national team setup. The player was the main man for him as the Barcelona legend led the Dutch team to the inaugural UEFA Nations League.

Ronald Koeman was the Dutch manager as they lost 1-0 to hosts Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final courtesy the lone strike from Goncalo Guedes.

Depay could be a direct replacement for Luis Suarez if Barcelona are able to agree a transfer fee with Lyon for his services. Suarez is said to be on his way to Italian champions Juventus.

Philippe Coutinho

Arsenal have been told that they will no longer be having Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho this summer transfer window as he is set to stay with Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona this season.

Philippe Coutinho has been out of favour in the Barcelona team since he joined the club in a big-money move from Liverpool and was sent out on loan to German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich.

His loan contract with the Bundesliga club has expired and staying on a permanent deal was never discussed which made his future up in the air and attracted interests from the North London club Arsenal.

The Gunners were ready to give Philippe Coutinho his dream return to the English Premier League after his agent confirmed that his wish is to return to his former league and not to Barcelona.

But with the emergence of a new manager at the Camp Nou, the situation immediately changed as Ronald Koeman held talks with the Brazilian international, informing him of his wish to remain with the club and have another chance.

It is believed that talks of his stay are successful and the North London club have received the message that they will not be signing Philippe Coutinho this summer transfer window.

It has become a three-man race for the signature of talented Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara as Barcelona have also shown interest in his signature and are set to submit a bid for him.

Initially, it was a race between Man United and Liverpool as the English Premier League duo were set to fight for his signature following speculations that he will be seeking a new challenge elsewhere after helping the Bundesliga club to win the UEFA Champions League.

It was reported last week that Thiago Alcantara is not willing to leave Bayern Munich anymore but that has not stopped speculations concerning his future with the latest coming from Spain.

It would be recalled that Thiago Alcantara spent some years in Barcelona when he was much younger but had to leave because he was unable to break into the team. He is now tipped to return with manager Roland Koeman keen to work with him in the new season.

Bild reporter Tobi Altschaffl, who confirms the interest from the Spanish La Liga outfit stated that Barcelona chiefs want to bring their homegrown talent, 28, to Camp Nou.

However, Ronald Koeman already has an alternative in Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum if Thiago Alcantara fails to agree on a return to Spain.

Philippe Coutinho

Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho might be the biggest winner of the new managerial regime at Barcelona after it was revealed that the player will be given another chance to prove himself at the club despite the rumours linking him with Premier League teams like Arsenal and Chelsea.

Spanish newspaper Marca revealed that new Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman wants to work with Coutinho who recently returned from a trophy laden loan spell at German champions Bayern Munich.

Philippe Coutinho has not had the best of form at Barcelona since his £142m move to the club from Liverpool in January 2018. He had a largely unsuccessful 18 months at the club before he was farmed out on loan to Bayern Munich at the start of the last campaign.

At Bayern Munich, Philippe Coutinho played his part as he helped the Bavarian giants win a treble for the second time in a decade but that was not enough to earn him a permanent deal.

Ronald Koeman was appointed the new Barcelona manager last month and the Dutch tactician has decided to hand Coutinho a lifeline.

As per Marca, Coutinho won’t leave Barcelona this summer unless an irresistible offer comes in for the former Liverpool playmaker.
