The interest by English Premier League outfit Liverpool in French Ligue 1 outfit Lille star Nicolas Pepe is now more obvious according to reports in the media.
North London outfit Arsenal were known to be favorites in the chase of Nicolas Pepe but there now seems to be an attempt by Liverpool to hijack the deal so as to bring him in for the next season.
Liverpool can boast of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in the side attack with both players doing well especially after they won The Golden Boot with 22 goals each but there is a wish to add more strength to the team so as to beat the challenge from title rivals Man City.

However, the latest report hints that the Merseyside outfit are now serious about their bid for Nicolas Pepe and will make an attempt in coming weeks.
There is no doubt that the French side will accept a bid for the Star Player especially now that his value has skyrocketed owing to his impressive performance in the just-concluded season.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe featured in all 38 league games and directly contributed to no fewer than 33 goals (22 goals and 11 assists).
