An opportunity for the Merseyside outfit to have a test game ahead of the Champions League finals against North London outfit Tottenham has been rejected by Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar to the surprise of the Jurgen Klopp team.
Now that the English Premier League is over, the Reds team will not have the opportunity to play games that would have placed them in the mood for the big clash against the North London side later in the next two weeks.
This is why they have made a proposal to AZ Alkmaar to have a friendly game but it was rejected as the Reds team will have too much time to prepare without any test game.
However, the club in their reply explained that they will not be able to have their team go to Spain for a game because most of the players have gone on holiday and would not be in the mood for a game after meeting with their family.
This is Jurgen Klopp’s opportunity to win silverware for the first time in his reign at the club and it is expected to consolidate for the English Premier League title miss and the defeat in the last edition of the UEFA Champions League.
