Life after José Mourinho has been a very wonderful one for the Red Devils as they are yet to lose a point after three games.

Despite Ole Gunnar’s bright start to his United’s career, he needs to upgrade his defence in January as he is yet to record a clean sheet in the three matches he’s overseen so far.

The Norwegian boss is set to compete Barcelona and Inter Milan for Lyon’s young defender N’dombele.

Barcelona have already registered their interest in the 22-year-old star as Valverde is looking to upgrade his team at the back of the pitch.

The Catalans often add young but quality players into the team, hence, it’s no surprise that they’ve submitted an offer for the French youngster.

Inter Milan are also said to be keeping close watch on N’dombele’s signature. The former Scuddeto Champions are very much keen to returning back to their former ‘big team status’ and they believe the youngster will play a very important part in their ambition for the season.

However, Lyon have placed a mammoth price tag on the player signature. According to reports making headlines in France, the Ligue 1 side are looking to receive a huge €83m (£72) from any of the three clubs.

The price tag sounds too expensive for a player of his age, nonetheless, N’dombele is a no-nonsense defender who will definitely justify his price tag.

Solskjaer must let go of some of his fringe defenders this month in order to fund his move for the 22-year-old player.

Eric Bailly and Marco Rojo are both said to be leaving Old Trafford having failed to nail down a place in the team’s starting lineup.
