Chelsea has made him their top priority after completing the signing of German attacker Kai Havertz. The 21-year-old joins the Blues from German team Bayer Leverkusen.
It was also revealed that Chelsea have options in their pursuit of a goalkeeper if the Edouard Mendy deal doesn’t work. Manager Frank Lampard is keen to find a replacement for his inconsistent first choice shot stopper, Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Havertz was the seventh signing at Chelsea this summer and Mendy could be signing number eight.
Thiago Silva, Xavier Mbuyemba, Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Malang Sarr and Ben Chilwell are the other signings at Chelsea.
