Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has hinted that he would sign new players in the upcoming winter transfer window in January after his team suffered another home defeat in the Premier League.
During his post-match press conference after the 2-0 defeat to Southampton at home, Frank Lampard pointed out that Chelsea needed to do better with the amount of possession ceded to them by their opponents.
Despite having the bulk of possession, Chelsea were unable to create openings to hurt the Saints during their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.

Frank Lampard also said that he’s learning a lot about his players in times like the one being experienced by the club.
Southampton took a stunning lead through Michael Obafemi who scored his second goal for the club in the Premier League after his debut league goal in the last campaign.
The young striker produced a moment of real quality in the first half to give the Saints the lead before Nathan Redmond made the points safe for his team in the 73rd minute.
Southampton have now won four of their last six games in the Premier League, while Chelsea have lost four of their last six games in the same competition.
