Chelsea Keen To Sign This Striker In January If Transfer Ban Is Lifted

Chelsea are hopeful that their transfer ban will be lifted in the coming weeks to give them the freedom to sign players when the next transfer market comes around.

The Blues were given a two-window ban on transfers and they have already served part one of the punishment during this summer’s transfer window.

Chelsea were banned after world football’s governing body FIFA found them guilty of breaking rules as regards the signing of teenage players.

The West Londoners want to sign CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov during the January transfer window according to Sky Sports and they are hopeful that the aforementioned transfer ban will be lifted before then.

The case has been taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) by Chelsea who are hopeful that their appeal will be successful at the hearing scheduled for the end of this month.

Apart from Chelsea, Fedor Chalov is also attracting the interest of fellow London outfit Crystal Palace who are ready to splash the sum of £25m on the Russian international in their quest to sign him.

Fedor Chalov enhanced his reputation on the European football stage when he finished as the topscorer last season in the Russian Premier League.
