North London giants Arsenal have lined up one of their former players as a replacement for underpressure manager Unai Emery.
This is according to the specific report from The Sun which claimed that Arsenal are eyeing former midfielder Mikel Arteta to replace Unai Emery who has fallen short of expectations at this start of this season.
Mikel Arteta was close to being appointed as the Arsenal manager last summer before the Gunners hierarchy opted for Unai Emery.
Spanish tactician Unai Emery led the Gunners to fifth position in the Premier League in the last campaign as they missed out on Champions League football this season.

In addition, Arsenal are winless in the last five games in all competitions dating back to the 1-0 win over South Coast club Bournemouth.
Their last league game ended in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City.
