North London giants Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to sign Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko during this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to the publication from French media outlet RMCSport which claimed that the Gunners have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Bakayoko.

Tiemoue Bakayoko spent last season on loan at Italian Serie A giants AC Milan whom he joined during last summer’s transfer window.

The French midfielder was farmed out on loan to AC Milan after an unsuccessful first season in English football.

Tiemoue Bakayoko had earlier signed for Chelsea in 2017 after a sensational campaign for French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco.

He was part of the AS Monaco team that ended the club’s long title drought.

Bakayoko and his then Monaco teammates won the 2016/17 French Ligue 1 title to end a 17-year wait for a league title

In addition, AS Monaco also reached the semifinals of the 2017 Champions League before they were beaten by Italian champions Juventus over two legs.

Tiemoue Bakayoko initially struggled at the start of his aforementioned loan spell before things picked up towards the winter part of the season.

He was one of the best players for AC Milan as they finished the league season in fifth place.
