Stimulus Check: Los Angeles County Breathe Program Offers Direct Payment of $1000

Los Angeles, CA – In a bid to provide support to Former Foster children in the region, the Los Angeles County government has announced the Breath program, which offers a unique opportunity to receive $1000 for the upcoming months. With just eight days left until the application deadline on July 3, eligible youth affected by the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to apply for this unconditional cash assistance.

The Breath program, designed to address the financial hardships faced by Former Foster children, aims to assist those who have been adversely affected by the ongoing pandemic. With a goal of providing a guaranteed income, the program will select 200 eligible applicants annually to receive $1000, enabling them to alleviate their financial burdens and improve their overall well-being.

The initiative comes as part of the county’s efforts to mitigate the economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis on vulnerable youth. By offering unconditional cash assistance, the Los Angeles County government aims to provide immediate relief and support to those in need.

Applicants are urged to submit their applications before the approaching deadline. The program presents an opportunity for Former Foster children in Los Angeles to receive financial assistance and navigate through the challenging times brought about by the pandemic.

Who is Eligible for Breathe program 

If you want to be eligible for this stimulus update, You need to meet the following criteria:

  • Your age should fall between 21 and 23 years.
  • You must have attended any foster care under the LA County Department of Children and Family Services once you turned 18.
  • Your income should not exceed the area median if you are single, and it should be within 120% of the median for a household of two or more persons.

However, you can also apply at the LA County website. There they will ask you to provide the following:

  • Proof of identity
  • Income 
  • Foster care status

However, the assistance program will select 200 applicants randomly from eligible applicants. 

The selected applicants will start receiving $1000 in September and will receive until next September. 

Moreover, private donations are giving money to this Breath Program. It does not use any tax money collected from people. That is why it is one of the most guaranteed income programs in the country. They have started this to help people improve their lives and reduce poverty.
