Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes has made a claim on the bid by Man United to win a title this season amidst the team’s struggle in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have struggled with consistent performance so far this season. They are in 14th position on the Premier League table with several defeats but they have been able to record a better performance in the Champions League.

This has made pundits talk less of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team and their chances of winning the Premier League title with Liverpool, Man City, and Chelsea mostly tipped to go for the crown. Bruno Fernandes is not accepting the fact that Man United are not mentioned as part of the teams to deliver a title this season.

Bruno Fernandes, who arrived at Old Trafford in January, said the reason why he joined the Red Devils s to win titles, stressing that the entire club have the mentality to win trophies.

Since joining the club, the Portuguese reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup and Europa League with the Red Devils last season, as well as a third-place finish in the league.

When he spoke on the UTD podcast he affirmed that the team will do all it takes to end the eight-year wait for a Premier League title this season. “For me, it doesn’t matter about the other teams, people may say they are better than us, they have a better first XI than us, the guys who come from the bench are better, people can say what they think, I don’t care.

“For me, I came to Manchester to win trophies. You are playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. This club has made history in the past, an amazing history. For a club like Manchester United, it’s a long time since we won the Premier League. It’s too long, I think.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have not any silverware since completing the Europa League and League Cup double in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.
