Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not alone in the sack saga as there are claims that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should be sacked after his team fell by 3-0 against Aston Villa on Sunday in the Premier League.

The season started with a lot of promises, especially after the activities in the summer transfer window that brought in Thomas Partey from Spanish la Liga outfit Atletico Madrid and Brazilian international Willian from Chelsea.

Eventually, the north London club suffered some painful defeats, especially the 1-0 defeats against Man City and Leicester City respectively. \

These defeats are brought back to memory lane with the 3-0 thrashing of Mikel Arteta’s side by Aston Villa.

Following the weekend defeat, there were suggestions that the Spanish boss be sacked and replaced by former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino by Arsenal hierarchy but that has been dismissed by Chris Sutton.

A caller had called BBC 5 Live’s 606 phone-in saying that he speaks the mind of all Arsenal fans and that Mikel Arteta should be sold and replaced by Mauricio Pochettino.

In his reaction, Arsenal fan, Chris Sutton said it is too early to call for the sack of the former Man City assistant manager, stressing that there is a need to be patient with him and the team. He noted that there are still a lot to be enjoyed under Mikel Arteta and that must not be missed.

Nevertheless, the call for Mikel Arteta’s sack will not be taken seriously by the authorities at the North London outfit because of the faith they have in the Spanish boss.

Mikel Arteta has only managed few games since joining the club last season but has won the FA Cup title and the Community Shield. The Gunners team have also been changed to a better one as they can now compete against big sides.
