£33m-rated EPL star sparks transfer speculation with Gunners fan claim

Attention is now being paid to Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins who told Sky Sports after scoring a brace in the weekend game that he is an Arsenal fan.

Ollie Watkins was instrumental in the victory against the North London outfit with his two goals to stamp their authority against Mikel Arteta by picking all three points without contesting it.

So far, the Aston Villa forward has scored a total of five goals against Arsenal and league title holders Liverpool this season and that sounds like good music in their ears.

After helping to defeat Arsenal, Ollie Watkins jokingly stated that his family will not be happy with him because they are all Gunners.

“I’m not sure my grandad or uncle Baz are going to be happy. They are Arsenal fans and I am an Arsenal fan myself- but I’m buzzing. I am sure they will love it really. I am over the moon, he stated.

Howbeit, the North London outfit might be considering the signature of Ollie Watkins as they might part ways with French striker Alexandre Lacazette who has not been in the best of form.

The former Lyon forward has contributed almost nothing to the club this season as a result of his lack of bite and goals.

Speculations claim that Alexandre Lacazette might be having his last season at the Emirates Stadium unless he picks up and rediscovers his lost form. He will definitely not be short of suitors with Juventus and Atletico Madrid reported to be in his chase.

Arsenal have had to rely on Gabon international forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for goals with Willian and Eddie also firing blank without enough goals to his name this season.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has called for calm as he backed his attackers to get back to their goal scoring form.
