Former Arsenal player Serge Gnabry has stated that Arsene Wenger stood the chance of winning the Champions League if he had considered the opportunity to join the German Bundesliga outfit, Bayern Munich.

Serge Gnabry had the opportunity of working under the French man from 2011 to 2016 but he was not favored with regular playing time before leaving the club to join Bayern Munich where he was able to turn his career around.

Arsene Wenger had claimed that he had the opportunity to manage the Bundesliga outfit after he was approached to succeed Nico Kovac.

The former Arsenal boss did not make the move but that would have been a perfect one for Serge Gnabry to work under the French boss again.

Serge Gnabry stated that Arsene Wenger is a top manager that would have succeeded at Bayern Munich as he relishes the opportunity of playing under him again.

He, therefore, noted that it is interesting to know that Arsene Wenger turned down such a big job, adding that he would have “won the Treble in Germany, and maybe the Champions League too.” What he was unable to win at Arsenal.

The same manager who worked at Arsenal for over 20 years and failed to win the Champions League is tipped to win the same trophy in another team. The difference is just the club.

However, Serge Gnabry stated that he would choose Arsenal for a return to the Premier League anytime the opportunity comes begging because of his love for the team.

Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry has won the Champions League with the German Bundesliga outfit as well as the domestic league. He also played a significant role in these achievements.
