Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reacted to the speculations linking Alexandre Lacazette, away from the club in the summer transfer window.

Alexandre Lacazette is a key player of the Mikel Arteta team having scored three goals in the last four league games, including the goal against Liverpool and making him one of the most consistent players in the team.

Despite his impact in the team, there have been continued speculations that he would be leaving this summer window with a number of clubs already linked with the former Lyon striker.

But that is now being addressed by the Arsenal boss who claims to let go of a player with such quality as the Frenchman makes no sense as he noted that Lacazette was only unlucky not to have scored more goals this season.

Expressing confidence in the striker, Mikel Arteta looks forward to the coming season with no doubt of plans for the striker. He stressed that he is happy with Lacazette because the player is a competitor who can link play and hates to lose.

These words of the Spanish manager may not cool speculations on the future of the former Lyon striker as he has two more years to run out his current deal with the North London outfit.
