Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is finding it hard to come to terms with the criticism of this attacker and Brazilian international Roberto Firmino over his recent performance in the team.

As a centre-forward, goals are expected from the Brazilian international but he has been unable to do more of that this season which has raised concerns from pundits and supporters.

However, the Merseyside outfit boss sees nothing wrong with the attacker and feels very comfortable with his contribution to the team this season despite dropping him from the Champions League team that delivered a 5-0 win over Atalanta on Tuesday.

When asked about his opinion, Klopp said it is not possible to have a Liverpool team in the Champions League without the Brazilian international, stressing that he must not score a goal be noted for contributing to the team. He noted that Roberto Firmino has been playing the role of a maker in the team.

“In so many games he was the difference maker without scoring goals and then with scoring in other games. I would feel embarrassed if I have to mention the qualities of Firmino. I can’t help these people, sorry. If they don’t see it, I can’t help them. That is how it is.

However, Roberto Firmino was dropped from the Reds team in their last Champions League game with their new signing Diogo Jota taking his place. The Portuguese did not only stand in the Brazilian’s place, as he led the team to the massive win with his hat trick.

There are fears that Roberto Firmino will lose his place to Diogo Jota who just arrived at the club in the last summer transfer window but that has been talked down by the former Borussia Dortmund manager.

Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino is already linked with a move to Spain as Barcelona and Real Madrid are reported to be infested in his service.
