We can conclude by saying that Man City manager Pep Guardiola is wary of the threat poses by Liverpool by warning his team to be sharper than they have been in previous games.

Man City enjoyed a 3-0 win over Olympiakos with goals coming from Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus, and Joao Cancelo on Tuesday night to maintain their perfect start of the Champions League this season.

The Citizens will now face the Premier League title holders in the Premier League at the weekend and Pep Guardiola thinks they must be sharper in front of the goal against Liverpool after struggling against their Champions League opponents.

In his post-match reaction, Pep Guardiola rues the missed chances by his team, hinting that they would have scored more goals.

However, the Spanish boss wants to take advantage of the poor weather to prepare for the game against Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield.

“I saw the forecast and there is sunshine in Manchester. They’ll have regeneration, a day off then two days. Now it is time to enjoy the victory, the position in the table and move forward” he said

Pep Guardiola now have more arsenals to fight against Liverpool at Anfield with the return of Gabriel Jesus from injury. The news of his return is a big boost to Man City.

“It was important, of course, the fact he’s back. It’s good news, especially for the striker to score a brilliant goal. I’m delighted with most of the game and happy that Gabriel is back” he concluded.

If the Reds team succeed with a win in the Sunday game against Man City, they will be able to keep their place on top of the table but should they fall against their visitors, there are fears they will drop because of the closeness of teams on the log.
