Ghanaian international midfielder Thomas Partey was not in action in full action in Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat against Man City and that raised concerns among fans.

Thomas Partey joined the North London outfit from Atletico Madrid on the summer transfer deadline day with lots of expectations from the fans that he will help improve the team but he is yet to be handed his full debut.

Mikel Arteta had explained that the reason why Thomas Partey did not start against Man City is that he had only one training with the team and had not understood the system.

However, there is a development with the Spanish boss now stating that Thomas Partey is ready to start ahead of the club’s Europa League clash against Rapid Vienna.

With Thomas Partey travelling with the team, fans will expect that he starts the game as a lot is expected from the £45 million signings.

Meanwhile, manager Mikel Arteta is happy with the return of the Europa League after a difficult last season as he claims the team will make the best of the opportunity as the aim is to win the title.

Should North London meet their target of finishing in the top-four, there are possibilities that they will be playing in the Champions League next season.
