The latest report has revealed that former Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has now returned as a non-contract player for his former club Chelsea.

Petr Cech retired in 2019 when he was playing for Arsenal and returned for a management role only to be listed in Frank Lampard’s squad for the Premier League season.

The former Arsenal shot-stopper was only the technical advisor role at Stamford Bridge but there was a need for him to be back in the team and it is very likely he would be seen in the middle of the sticks again.

Before joining the North London outfit, Petr Cech was flying the colours of the Blues team for 11 years with over 300 appearances, winning four Premier League titles.

Chelsea have confirmed Petr Cech will be part of the squad as an emergency cover and as a non-contract player with the situation at the club.

The goalkeeping situation seems to have changed at Stamford Bridge as Edouard Mendy is now the first-choice ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga after he was unconvincing in his recent performances.

However, it is yet to be seen if an opportunity will be available for Petr Cech to have a new debut at the club or not.
