Arsenal legend Tony Adams is of the opinion that manager Mikel Arteta has made a mistake in allowing former goalkeeper Emi Martinez to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
Emi Martinez left the North London outfit to join Aston Villa for a fee of £20 million after he was instrumental in the Gunners victory in the FA Cup as a result of Bernd Leno’s injury.
The best of Emi Martinez was just seen when he left the club and the Arsenal legend insists that he should have been kept at the club at all cost.

Still reacting on the 1-0 defeat suffered by the North London outfit against Man City, Tony Adams stated that Emi Martinez was still needed at the club because of his quality and what he has to offer.
However, the North London outfit have already secured the service of Alex Runner as a replacement but he is yet to make a Premier League debut.
Howbeit, Emi Martinez insisted on leaving the club as he was no longer interested in being a second-choice goalkeeper. Mikel Arteta has never hidden the fact that Bernd Leno will always be called ahead of him especially for the big games as the Premier League and the Europa League.
