Mikel Arteta told something matters more than Man City defeat

Arsenal were unable to pull a win when they travelled to Man City on Saturday evening for the Premier League game.

The only goal by Raheem Sterling was enough for the host to win all three points and that has let down the Gunners’ manager who returned to his former club.

Micah Richard is of the opinion that the North London club might have suffered a defeat but they were brilliant and have shown a level of improvement.

The former Man City and England player stressed that the Man City game is only a start as there are many games to be played because the Gunners are currently in a better moment than where they used to be.

While noting that Arsenal have world-class strikers like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe, the former Man City player stated that what is most important for the team is to secure a top-four finish so as to play in the Champions League next season.

He stressed that Arsenal’s addition of Thomas Partey will make the team stronger than it used to be and with the quality, the target should be more than winning a game but having a tangible result at the end of the season.
