Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes had not missed a penalty for the club until the Premier League meeting with Newcastle United at St. James Park on Saturday night.

Bruno Fernandes joined the Red Devils in January and had scored 10 from 10 penalties taken before the week five Premier League clash at Newcastle United this weekend.

Bruno Fernandes got the opportunity to make it an 11th straight penalty success since signing for the Red Devils when Newcastle United left-back Jamal Lewis brought down Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford in the box and the penalty was awarded the help of VAR.

The Portuguese international had a penalty routine that allows him to stutter a little bit before taking it until the Newcastle United game when he changed it.

Upon changing it, Bruno Fernandes saw the penalty saved by Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow who dived to his right to push the 58th-minute spot kick with scores at 1-1.

Fernandes redeemed himself with a crucial second strike for Manchester United in the 86th minute before Aaron Wan-Bissaka and the impressive Rashford scored two more goals to hand the Red Devils a 4-1 away win.

After the game, Bruno Fernandes told BBC Match of the Day that he tried to change his normal penalty routine.

The win has quickly banished the disappointing 6-1 loss suffered at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur before the international break.
