EPL giant, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been blasted by St Etienne boss Claude Puel for what he describes as an unfair treatment on France international William Saliba.
The 19-year-old has not had his debut for the North London outfit and he has been snubbed by the Spanish boss from the Europa League squad that was recently released.
William Saliba joined the Gunners with great prospect and was tipped to move straight into the first team but Mikel Arteta insists the youngster is not ready for the challenge and will need a year to transit properly.

In his reaction to Mikel Arteta’s stand on William Saliba, Claude Puel lamented that the North London outfit only had short-term thinking when they showed interest in the player.
He added that a player of William Saliba’s calibre should not be left on the bench in Arsenal, talk less of not having his debut and being left out of the Europa League team.
Claude Puel added that he wanted the best for the player and expected same treatment from Arsenal as well.
Meanwhile, Rennes also made attempt to sign William Saliba on loan but failed while his expected move to the Championship has been called off.
