Now it has touched the Arsenal women team as they have just announced the capture of Australian international, Steph Catley from Melbourne City FC.
The Arsenal women can now boast of three Australian internationals as the manager, Joe Montemurro, and forward Caitlin Foord, who arrived in the winter window are all from the same country.
