Man United will now shift attention to the Spanish La Liga outfit for the signature of Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde, according to reports.

The Red Devils are seriously in need of a new centre-back and failed in their attempts to bring in a new face in the just concluded summer transfer window.

Man United were linked with several names for that position including Kalidou Koulibaly, Dayot Upamecano, and others but none of them made a move to the Old Trafford.

It is now reported that the Red Devils now have a new shortlist as they are hoping to get stringer in the transfer market when next it is opened with Jules Kounde making it to their shortlist.

Man United spent a huge £80 million on the signature of Harry Maguire from Leicester City and they are ready to spend big on the signature of the Sevilla defender to be able to stabilize the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team.

With ESPN confirming the interest in Jules Kounde, it is reported that he will cost no more than £70 million which the Red Devils might risk investing in.

The international break is now over and club football is expected to resume at the weekend with Man United hoping to bounce back with wins.
