A former Arsenal and Man United striker Danny Welbeck is reportedly wanted at Brighton as he is currently without a club.

Danny Welbeck was released by Watford following their relegation to the Championship as he is unwilling to go down with them while they may not be able to pay for his services due to the financial downturn at the club.

According to the Mail, Graham Potter is interested in the service of the England international on a free transfer and that could be the only opportunity he has to return to the Premier League.

Danny Welbeck has had a feel of football at a top-level with Arsenal and Man United but he has consistently battled with injury and that has kept him out of action and also limited his potential.

However, pundits have argued that Danny Welbeck did not live the potential he showed as a young player when he started with the Red Devils before leaving for the Emirates Stadium.

Howbeit, Arsenal might boast of having a better replacement since the exit of Danny Welbeck from the Emirates Stadium but the Red Devils still struggle to have a centre-forward.

Man United have been advised to bring in a centre-forward and they might enjoy having one with the recent signing of Edison Cavani.
