A lot is being said by pundits and fans on the transfer activities of Man United and how they have not been getting things right with the summer transfer window but that started a long time ago.

The Red Devils had a very slow summer transfer activities, signing Donny van de Beek from Ajax earlier in the window and waited until the last day before bringing in five players.

Pundits have opined that some of the players signed by the Red Devils are not needed while others claim they needed to do more.

However, the latest report has revealed that the Red Devils got it wrong in their view of Harry Maguire who joined the club last summer transfer window with a fee of £80 million to make the most expensive defender.

While the arguments that Harry Maguire does not worth the £80 million invested in him, another revelation has been placed in the public space, revealing that the defender was offered to Man United in 2017 for £15 million but they rejected him.

What could have happened within two years? Was the prospect not seen by the Red Devils or was the club blind to his potential? The argument that two years is too small to have a value of £15 million increased to £80 million.
