It has been revealed by Arsenal insider David Ornstein that the North London outfit would have ended up with Houssem Aouar but for the fact that the club didn’t want to “be held ransom or become too fixated on one player at any expense”.
It is believed that the North London outfit were not comfortable with the way Lyon handled the deal and decided to slam it down. Howbeit, it is unknown if the Gunners will still return for the signature of the midfielder or will move in for other alternatives in the coming transfer window.
