English Premier League club Man United were able to confirm the signature of Facundo Pellistri from Penarol on the transfer deadline day, agreeing on a $10 million deal in the five-year contract.

The Red Devils had to wait until the deadline day before completing some of the deals because of their lack of funds.

However, Futbal Uruguay revealed that the Red Devils did not pay all of the $10 million to Penarol on the day they sealed the deal. An agreement was reached to pay $5 million immediately and pay the other half next October.

It is reported that the Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was able to learn of the availability of Facundo Pellistri and his quality from former Man United player and then Penarol boss Diego Forlan and the negotiation was able to pull through because of his assistance.

However, Facundo Pellistri joins the Red devils alongside of the best Uruguay players, Edison Cavani and that is enough to help him settle quickly into the team with enough tutorship.

It is understood that Facundo Pellistri will be heading straight into the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team to continue his progress and has been tipped to deliver good performance in the English Premier League.
