EPL giant, Manchester United have signed four players on transfer deadline day including the experienced Edinson Cavani.

The Red Devils started the transfer window with Borussia Dortmund as their top target but they were not able to pull off a deal for him following the €120m (£108m) valuation of the player from his German Bundesliga club.

Uruguayan international striker Edinson Cavani is proven player and he has signed a one-year deal with the Red Devils plus the option of another year.

The 33-year-old has joined the Red Devils on a free transfer on the back of the expiration of his contract at Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

Cavani scored five goals in 20 appearances for PSG in an injury hit season last term.

Manchester United have also strengthened their squad in the defensive area with the signing of Alex Telles.

The 27-year-old Brazilian international has signed for the Red Devils in a deal reported to be around £15.4m.

He has signed a four-year deal at Old Trafford with the option of another year upon joining from FC Porto.

Manchester United also signed young attacker Amad Diallo in a deal totalling €42m (£37m).

The 18-year-old right winger will join his Manchester United teammates in January.

The Red Devils also signed 18-year-old Uruguayan forward Facundo Pellestri from Atletico Penarol.
