An end is yet to be seen on the speculation linking Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea out of the Old Trafford with Man United always linked with a move for a goalkeeper.

The option of Jan Oblak for a summer transfer window is very unlikely as Spanish La Liga club, Atletico Madrid is not willing to listen to offers for their captain because he is “highly valued” by the club.

Dean Henderson remains another option for the Red Devils but he has made it clear that he would not be returning from his loan spell with Sheffield United to be a second-choice at the Old Trafford.

Should Man United fail to assure him of a first-team role, he will not sign a new contract with West London outfit, Chelsea, already waiting to snap him up as a replacement for the want-away goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Amidst all of the uncertainties, the Red Devils have turned their attention to Napoli goalkeeper, Alex Meret with the hope that he could be a better option and will come with a cheaper fee.

Man United are reportedly monitoring Alex Meret from Napoli and will lure him with a lucrative bid as the Italian Serie A outfit seek to cash in to be able to balance the team in the summer transfer window.
