There are lots of gains for Man United as they have been able to equip their team with five signings on the deadline day.

The Red Devils have been hailed for the capture of Uruguay international striker Edison Cavani on a free transfer from Paris Saint Germain. He will be with the club for the next two years and has a pedigree for goal scoring.

More to Edison Cavani is the capture of Alex Telles who will create more competition at the left-back position. He joined the Red Devils one the deadline day for £13.5 million from FC Porto.

18-year-old Amad Diallo Traore was also announced as Man United player on Monday from Atlanta and could be given a first-team experience. The Red Devils also announced the signings of Facundo Pellistri for £10 million and 16-year-old Willy Kambwala for £3.6 million from Penarol and Sochaux respectively.

However, pundits have argued that there are needs for major concerns as regards the Red Devils team because of their inability to secure a defender that will partner Harry Maguire,

Analysis has shown that the Red Devils concede goals because of their lack of might at the centre-back and have been urged to make a viable signing but they failed to achieve that.
