Portuguese right-back Diogo Dalot has sent a farewell message to the Manchester United fans after he completed his loan switch to AC Milan in the Italian Serie A.

Dalot has left Manchester United for the Rossoneri on a temporary switch after he found it hard to break into the starting XI at Old Trafford.

Diogo Dalot can play either as a right-back or as a left-back. He has also played on the right-wing for Manchester United on several occasions.

Manchester United have moved to replace Diogo Dalot with the imminent signing of FC Porto left-back Alex Telles.

Brazilian international Alex Telles is scheduled to complete his transfer from FC Porto to Manchester United on transfer deadline day.

Manchester United had several bids knocked back for the 27-year-old defender before an offer of £15m (£13.5m plus £1.5m in add-ons) was accepted by the Portuguese champions.

Alex Telles has one year left on his FC Porto contract.

He will sign a four-year contract with the option of another one upon the completion of his Manchester United medicals.

The Red Devils will also add the quality of Edinson Cavani to their playing squad after the club agreed to sign the free agent.
