Italian Serie A outfit AC Milan have confirmed the capture of Diogo Dalot on loan from premier league giant, Man United after weeks of speculations linking him out of the club.

Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma had made moves to secure the service of the Red Devils player but they were unable to convince the club of a deal.

Diogo Dalot who has chosen AC Milan ahead of AS Roma will now wear jersey number 5 at San Siro as he can no longer secure playing time under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Chris Smalling has also been linked with a move to AS Roma with the player also keen on the move. The Serie A outfit are yet to meet the demand of the Red Devils and that could be an issue to be dealt with before the end of Monday.

Chris Smalling spent last season with the Serie A outfit and wants to return while they are also in need of his service on a permanent deal. The Red Devils are requesting for £20 million while AS Roma want to play £13 million.

What is now unknown is if Chris Smalling will be allowed to leave the club or remain as the Red Devils are also yet to sign a new defender.
