The latest report has claimed that an agreement has been reached and Man United are on the verge of activating the release clause of Penarol winger Facundo Pellistri.

Despite agreeing on terms, the Red Devils cannot go ahead with the signature of the singer as his agent have refused to accept the commission given to them in the deal.

This was revealed by Sport890 journalist Sebas Giovanelli who claims there might be an agreement for the Red Devils to activate the release clause of Facundo Pellistri which El Observador reports to be within the region of $15 million but the player’s agent has not agreed percentage.

According to the journalist, Facundo Pellistri’s agent is demanding a 20 percent commission and that is perceived to be too high for a player in that young ranks.

The interest by Man United in Facundo Pellistri became necessary as a result of their failure to land their top target Jadon Sancho from German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

With the transfer window set to close on Monday, the Red Devils are working hard to conclude some deals so as to strengthen as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to make the top four as well as win titles this season.
