Not everyone agreed with Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the pursuit of the signature of England international winger Jadon Sancho as it is claimed that he is not the kind of player that is needed.
Despite agreeing that the Red Devils must spend to be able to get quality players, the over £100 million demand for the signature of the Man City academy product has been described as too high.
Amongst other former players and pundits that have lend their voices on the transfer saga of the Red Devils former striker Wayne Rooney holds the opinion that £100 million should be spent but not on the Borussia Dortmund winger.

According to him, it should be spent on a player like Tottenham star Harry Kane because of the fact that they will be assured of more goals based on the current need of the club.
While admitting that Jadon Sancho is a top player, the former striker is amazed to find him as the priority for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite the need for a striker.
He noted that the Red Devils have got a similar talent in their team with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial which add to the emergence of Mason Greenwood. He stressed that United should spend £100 million but should spend it on Harry Kane.
