Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are in pole position to sign Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot, according to reports coming out of the Italian media
Dalot is a versatile Portuguese fullback as he can effectively operate as a left-back or as a right-back.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that AC Milan are ahead of rivals AS Roma in the race to sign the aforementioned Dalot.
Manchester United have already turned down an offer from AC Milan for the young player and the Rossoneri have returned with a second bid.

AC Milan have made an offer of a loan deal for Diogo Dalot with the option to sign him afterwards.
Diogo Dalot has struggled for game time at Manchester United in recent times with the duo of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw well established at right-back and left-back respectively.
The Portuguese player signed for Manchester United from FC Porto in 2017.
Diogo Dalot is not the only fringe player linked with an Old Trafford exit as the likes of Jesse Lingard, Daniel James etc. are also available for a transfer.
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a shock transfer swoop for Jesse Lingard, while Premier League newcomers Leeds United want to sign Daniel James.
