Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is closing in on a loan move away from the club after his manager admitted that it would do him a whole lot of good.
The Blues boss, Frank Lampard, told reporters that the England international would be better served spending some time out on loan.
Lampard spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Carabao Cup fourth round clash with London rivals Tottenham Hotspur billed for the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek spent a very successful loan spell at Crystal Palace during the 2017/18 season before he returned to Chelsea at the end of that season.
Injuries and competition for places have prevented him from securing a lasting place in the starting XI.
The Chelsea Academy graduate started the opening game of the season in the Premier League vs Brighton and Hove Albion but didn’t last until the second half.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek was subbed off at half-time of the game which his team won 3-1.
He has two major loan options as per the report from the Daily Mirror with Aston Villa and West Ham United said to be keen to take him on a temporary deal for the rest of this season.
