There have been reports claiming that Uruguay international midfielder Lucas Torreira could be heading to the Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid but that cannot be confirmed.
The Spanish La Liga outfit are keen on signing the Arsenal midfielder with claims that Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is a big fan of the former Sampdoria midfielder.
Arsenal have made an attempt to secure a swap deal with Lucas Torreira as they are also interested in the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey but the Madrid team have insisted on separate deals and negotiations for the two players.

However, is reported that Lucas Torreira has agreed on personal terms with Atletico Madrid with a move imminent but the claim in this report is under threat with the latest report that two Serie A outfits are also keen on the Uruguay international.
Fiorentina and Torino have both made attempts in the past to land Lucas Torreira this summer transfer window and they are reportedly not willing o end their chase cheaply, according to Calcio Mercato.
However, the decision will be left to Arsenal to make as they are not interested in a loan move for Lucas Torreira as proposed by Atletico Madrid. This means any club willing to meet his asking price will have the deal.
