French Ligue 1 giants Lyon have identified a potential replacement for club skipper Houssem Aouar as he continues to be linked with a move away from the Champions League semi-finalists.
According to L’Equipe, Lyon want to sign Lucas Paqueta from Italian Serie A giants AC Milan and he could be a direct replacement for Aouar.
Lucas Paqueta has not had the best of times at the San Siro since joining the seven-time European champions last summer and he could be on the move after just one season.

Lyon skipper Houssem Aouar is attracting keen interest from Arsenal as confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to him, Lyon want €60m for Houssem Aouar but the Gunners are yet to meet their financial valuation of the player.
Arsenal offered young midfielder Matteo Guendouzi plus cash for Houssem Aouar earlier in this transfer window and the offer was rejected by Lyon. Sporting director Juninho Pernambucano confirmed the Gunners’ offer.
Houssem Aouar is ready to play in the Premier League for Arsenal and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is said to be a big fan of the player but his team will need to sell a few players to raise the funds for the transfer of the Lyon playmaker.
