Arsenal are prepared to sell as many as seven players in order to raise funds for their two midfield targets, Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey.

This is via the report from the Daily Star which disclosed that the Gunners want to sign Aouar and Partey before the summer’s transfer window ends next month.

Arsenal will have to raise money to sign the two aforementioned midfielders having spent their transfer budget this summer on six players.

The North Londoners made the loan deals of defenders Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari permanent, while the loan deal of Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos was also extended.

The Spaniard will spend this season on loan at the Emirates Stadium after a successful spell on loan last term.

Arsenal signed Brazilian winger Willian from London rivals Chelsea on a free transfer, while Icelandic international shot stopper Runar Alex Runarsson recently joined Arsenal from French side Dijon.

Their biggest transfer of the summer still remains the £25m spent on Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhaes.

Arsenal midfielders Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi have been strongly linked with moves away and their sales would give the Gunners part of the cash needed to sign both Aouar and Partey.

Sokratis Papasthathopoulos, Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Shkodran Mustafi are all up for sale at Arsenal.
