Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has poured cold water on the reported interest of Arsenal in club skipper Houssem Aouar.
The Lyon supremo told French media portal Le Progres that Arsenal and other clubs will find it hard to sign Houssem Aouar in the current transfer market which will close on the 5th of October.
According to him, the best decision would be for the player to stay at the club beyond this summer’s transfer window.

Lyon don’t have European football to offer Houssem Aouar this season but the club supremo still believes that staying at the club would be the best bet for the 22-year-old Frenchman.
Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester City and Real Madrid have all been linked with a move for Houssem Aouar this summer and only the Gunners have made an official bid for him.
The Premier League giants offered cash plus Matteo Guendouzi in July and it was turned down by the French club.
Aouar was one of the best midfielders in the Champions League last season as Lyon got to the last four before they were eliminated by German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
The French junior international scored one goal plus four assists in eight Champions League matches.
