If the words of former Man United Gary Neville are to be followed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, then the priority of the club in the summer transfer window will now change.

The Red Devils’ priority has been the signing of England international winger Jadon Sancho with a lot of time spent on his negotiation but there is yet to be any headway for a deal to be sealed.

Man United started their Premier League campaign on a bad note as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon with an awful performance.

Former Man United Gary Neville is now of the opinion that the Red Devils cannot afford to make a winger their top target as he claims that they need a centre-back more than other departments.

While lamenting the quality of the team, he was quick to say that the Red Devils cannot win the Premier League with the current setup of the team, stressing that the combination of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof cannot be trusted.

According to Gary Neville, Man United need a mobile, quick, dominant, centre-back that will pair with either of the two and that must be done before the end of the summer transfer window to save the season.
